Amana Partners with Zoya to Enable Shariah-Compliant Trading
We're excited to announce that Amana, one of the largest and most active brokerage platforms in the MENA region, has integrated the Zoya API to power a new Shariah-compliant asset tagging feature across its trading platform. Amana users can now instantly identify Shariah-compliant assets while browsing, researching, and trading thousands of securities.
Shariah compliance, built into the trading experience
Amana has introduced a blue crescent moon icon that appears next to any asset classified as Shariah-compliant. This brings a level of transparency that previously required switching between multiple apps or conducting time-consuming manual research before making an investment decision. Amana has eliminated this friction by making Shariah screening part of the core experience.
The feature goes beyond a simple label. Amana has also added a dedicated Shariah-compliant category within its search and discovery experience, making it easy for users to filter and browse only compliant assets.
A platform built for the region
Founded in 2010 and headquartered in Dubai, Amana has grown into one of the region's most prominent trading platforms. The app offers access to over 5,500 commission-free securities spanning global and regional stocks, ETFs, cryptocurrencies, and other asset classes. Amana is regulated by multiple international authorities including the DFSA, FCA, and CySEC, and serves traders across the Middle East, North Africa, and beyond.
Despite this breadth, Shariah compliance had remained a gap in the experience. By partnering with Zoya, Amana was able to ship a fully embedded Shariah screening feature without the cost and complexity of building compliance infrastructure from scratch.
A broader shift
This development reflects a broader shift we're seeing across the industry. More platforms are recognizing that investors are not looking for workarounds. They want tools that respect their values and make it easier to invest responsibly, without compromising on quality or user experience. By embedding Shariah indicators directly into the app, Amana is meeting that need in a way that feels natural and useful.
The Zoya API provides programmatic access to the same compliance screening methodology trusted by over 400,000 investors through Zoya's consumer app, covering 60,000+ stocks and funds globally with detailed compliance reports based on leading Shariah standards.
We're proud to support Amana in this effort. Their team continues to build with care and intentionality, and this launch is a reflection of their commitment to help their customers align their investment choices with their values.
